About Cape-Able

History

Cape-Able Bike Shop has come a long way in 30 years. We are no longer located in Cape Porpoise in the old fish shack by the water. However, those same rustic and charming buildings house our store today. The principals that founded that little shop in 1974 are alive and well. You can feel it when you walk in the door. From the early 1900's post and beam building to the smiling face working on a bike right in front of you. Cape-Able Bike Shop is a special place.

Over the years we have seen trends come and go. Old English three speeds have evolved into high-tech colorful machines made of aluminum, titanium, and carbon fiber with shocks and wild looking wheels. The bikes look completely different but some important ideals have stood the test of time. Bikes still have two wheels and continue to make us smile.
